Why Knowing Yourself is Important
Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom- Aristotle
That quote couldn’t be more true!
I personally believe that knowing ourselves will help us open our eyes to see other things. It helps us to realize our purpose, our own worth, accept ourselves and so many other things.
I have posted a whole blog post about why knowing yourself is important. Feel free to check it out here if you haven’t yet.
There is this one comment on that post which I really loved. She said, “I think knowing yourself is the end goal of our existence and the reason why we are here is to discover our own truth.”
Basically, there are a lot of reasons why knowing ourselves is important and we all have different beliefs about it. So make sure to check out that post to help you understand and create your own goal for knowing yourself.
My Self-discovery Journey
I started my journey into self-discovery not so long ago when I felt really unhappy and lost in my life.
If you have met me before, you might think; why would I feel lost when I’m actually pursuing the college program that I have personally chosen, meeting and making friends with a lot of inspiring people, and thriving in my college life.
Even so, I wasn’t happy about everything that I have.
Every time I thought about that before, I beat myself up and telling myself that I’m just being so ungrateful.
Eventually, I realized that I really don’t know what I want.
I used to say that I’m just like a little chameleon before, blending into the crowd. Following what other people say to me.
Deciding to start my journey into self-discovery changed my whole life and how I view the world.
I wouldn’t say that I’m already living my best life and figured out everything in my life, but I would say that where I am today is the place where my heart truly desires.
I know that we all want to do something we’re passionate about. We all want to go after the life we always dream of.
We want our own dreams and not other people’s “shoulds”, “woulds”, and “coulds”.
That’s why in this series, I will share with you the helpful ways and exercises that helped me a lot and hopefully, will help you in your own journey into self-discovery, too.
All the things that we will discuss are based on the self-discovery workbook that I have created. So before we get started grab your FREE Knowing Yourself Workbook.
If you have already downloaded the workbook before, this series is perfect to guide you even further. Here, we will dive deeper into each topic and exercise.
Once you’ve signed up for the workbook, you’ll also be part of the Cresentella community and receive lots of exclusive and extra content every week.
Lastly, if you’ll take this series with me, be proud of yourself because I am! You can do it!
